I am honored to join the Oak Hills Alumni and Educational Foundation to support its mission of providing educational opportunities to students that enrich and expand students’ educational experiences and could not otherwise be provided with tax dollars. I graduated from Oak Hills High School in 1988 and attended Delshire and C. O. Harrison Elementary Schools as well as Delhi Jr. High School.
After graduating from Oak Hills High School, I studied Fine Arts as an undergraduate at DePauw University and then attended the University of Cincinnati for graduate school where I studied Community Counseling and started my career working with children as a Child and Family Therapist. I
worked with children and families in the mental health field for 13 years until I transitioned into a position teaching preschool. I have been teaching preschool for the last 17 years and I am so fortunate to spend my days teaching young children.
Both of my sons also graduated from Oak Hills High School in 2019 and 2021 and were well-prepared for college both academically and socially, which is a testament to their positive experiences with teachers
and staff throughout the Oak Hills district. We found the teachers and staff to be passionate, committed, and always striving to provide interesting and effective learning opportunities for our children. This makes me excited to find ways to raise money that can help these educators to continue
implementing creative and innovative teaching approaches in their classrooms.
I was involved in many volunteer roles throughout my sons’ time in the district, such as serving on the PTA’s at C. O. Harrison Elementary and Delhi Middle School, Cub Scout Pack Committee Chair at C. O. Harrison, and After Prom Prizes Committee Chair for several years. I have always enjoyed and felt
compelled to volunteer and serve our community and I am looking forward to doing that as a member of the Oak Hills Alumni and Educational Foundation.
